Ordering: The selections are numerous, so the default is for us to supply the particular cultivar. All will be good quality material, from cold hardy, pre-selected candidates. This method proves simplest and supplies the most common customer (breeders, curious orchardists) with a unique line of apple trees. We hope you will plant trees like this, as it charges your region with genetics quite distinct from much of that present in North America. Kazakhstan is thought to be the birthplace of the common apple.

Original seed was procured as only 2nd generation from collecting done in Kazakhstan. The current offspring orchard, here in Walden, VT was planted in 2001. Varieties in this collection are numbered selections without description, but all have proved cold hardy, healthy and showing promise for further breeding.
