This book, by Euell Gibbons probably doesn’t fit perfectly with growing plants since it is about the wild hunting of plants. It runs about 300 pages with the occasional illustration. A bit of a field guide along with some recipes and musings. Easy to read. I mention it because it was important in my early years by getting me out into the wilderness to appreciate plants in general. A lot of my life now is devoted to the plant world and I know much of that had to do with finding a ragged copy of this little book in a library sale years ago.
