Description
Open pollinated summerland. Bright red crisp, flavorful sweet/tart apple. Red stained flesh when very ripe. Can develop cherry flavor. Scab susceptible, but an outstanding summer apple for its crisp, firm texture and well developed flavor which is rare in summer fruits. Very cold hardy, at least to zone 3. Canadian introduction.
