Description
Round to oblate all purpose apple. Large and attractive. Originated in Rambures village (Picardy) in France in very early 1800s. Fine sweet tart flavor. In its place of origin it is a summer apple, and perishable. In northern Vermont it ripens closer to fall (mid September most years) and keeps a few weeks. Summer Rambo is one of its pseudonyms but this name is attributed to other apples as well.
