Description
Deep purple apple with bright white flesh. Reliably scab free. Sweet/tart and crispy.Ripening in late summer/early fall (usually the end of September in Walden). White blooms. Strong grower and cold hardy at least to zone 4. Disease resistance makes this a good candidate for organic growers. Keeps reasonably well. Sorglöss is Swedish for carefree. A Walden Heights Orchard introduction (1990s Vermont zone 3).
