Description
Reta is a seedling of McIntosh from Wyndmere, North Dakota. Introduced in 1953, this crabapple is green and yellow and 1/2 to 1 3/4 in diameter. White, juicy flesh. Not a keeper. All purpose. The tree is cold hardy to zone 4, likely colder. Shows no winter damage here in zone 3 Vermont. Tree is productive. Open pollinated McIntosh. Developed by RL Wodarz (see Wodarz variety).
