Description
A redder version of haralson, but other than that…indistinguishable. Ripens a week or more earlier. Resistant to fireblight but not scab. Great workhorse tree, as it produces a fine all purpose apple that keeps well into winter. Does not go all mushy in pies. Sweet/tart and firm. Cold hardy at least to zone 3.
