Description

This heirloom Russian apple dates back to the 1700s. Purportedly cold hardy to -50F it is grown in Siberia and the Urals. Also known as Spasovka, Skorospella, and Skorospelka. It is a large to very large all purpose apple. A bit tart early, but becoming sweet later in the harvest season. Here in Walden it ripens late August to early September.
