Description
Large yellow-green fall apple. This is a selection of the Antonovka class of apples, a hardy Russian strain of fruits that come somewhat uniform from seed. The apple featured here is quite large and very agreeable for fresh eating. Tart, crisp and juicy. Makes excellent early fall pies, and keeps reasonably well, but not as good as some other antonovka types. Cold hardy at least to zone 3.
