Description
Anaros is a red blushed and yellow cold hardy crabapple. 1 1/2 inch fruits are good for culinary use and in cider. Yellow flesh. Acidic but pleasant flavor. Mid September ripening, with short storage life. Hardy and vigorous tree that produces heavy crops. Open pollinated Antonovka from Canada. Developed at the Rosthern Experimental Farm in Saskatchewan. Released in 1936. White blossoms. 13-14 % sugar content.
