Description
Developed by Richard Wellington at the New York State Agriculture Experiment Station, Geneva, NY. Early McIntosh x New York 845 (Red Canada x Yellow Transparent). Released in 1938. Does not keep for long, but great in its season. Good early all purpose apple with striped red skin and white flesh. Can bleed red into flesh and lead to pink skinless sauces and juices. Diploid. Rare.
