Heirloom English Apple circa 1700 An all purpose apple with yellow, orange and red meanderings on the skin. A hard and crisp apple, full flavored and sugary when well ripened. Note this is a tripoid variety and so will not effectively pollenize other varieties. Storage ability is about fair. Fall. A very famous variety with many commercial offspring including Cox’s Orange Pippin.
