Description

Tan and pink washed crabapple. 1-1/2 inch fruits. Sweet and astringent, it can be eaten fresh but excels in cider. Crispy yellowish flesh. High sugar content (often 20 brix). Developed in Canada in the early 1900s. Cold hardy and dependable. Can set heavy crops. Harvest time here in Walden VT is mid September. Seedling of Cluster apple. White blossoms. Tree is medium vigor.
